Monday, July 28, 2008 ADM timetable
Posted by Philothea` @ Monday, July 28, 2008 | Just collated my sch timetable after matriculation today:
Good to have free evenings (: but I'm gonna need more discipline to wake up in the mornings :/
ADM FOC
Posted by Philothea` @ Monday, July 28, 2008 | Sch's starting next week, which means it's my last week of holidays - my happy life! I've been so slack the past 2 months with no major work and carefree! Hoho. This week is especially crucial cos I need to get myself prepared and complete my to-do list!!!
I'm still not used to the notion of school and the 4 years ahead seems long and draggy. Can't skip foundation year and having to do drawing classes all over AGAIN! If not for the MDA scholarship, I wouldn't proceed. Anyway, I'm thankful for the scholarship; one less financial headache! But, the pressure to do well is haunting and being on the Dean's list is not my forfeit. That's why I'm gonna pray and fast this week. I wanna be very clear about my destiny in the university and stuff.
This post is actually for last week - ADM FOC and I belong to the Snow White clan of the Dignesian village. Yeah, it was pretty fun.
Mass Dance (dancing to Flo Rida - Low)

last night - performance & dance

Another sleepless night. Working on JUMP publicity 2 on Love's MacBook Pro ("star"). I don't have the habit of naming my stuff, otherwise it'll be quite a disaster. I'm not so creative with names, unlike Adam, the 1st man who named all the animals. But, it's quite an interesting job I suppose. While rendering the videos (which is causing me to be very sleepy & hungry now), I took delight in watching Hillsong music videos on youtube. I still think they're amazing and very anointed! Makes me wanna go to Aussie and I'm making plans to fly there next year (: (: (: The last time I visited Adelaide and Kangaroo Island was 8 years ago and I wanna visit the other parts of Aussie though probably almost every fortunate kid these days had already gone there so many times! E.g. my lil cousins who have been half way round the world w.o realising how lucky are they.
And I just realised I can forget about editing my photos. It's all in the MacBook and I haven't back up yet! Now I really wanna get it back...sigh...still no news and I only have myself to blame =(
Anyway, thank God it's Friday! Weekends!~

Posted by Philothea` @ Wednesday, July 09, 2008 | I lost my precious laptop!!!
13.3inch White MacBook
2.2Ghz Intel Duo Core
2GB RAM, 120GB HDD
Serial No: W87494L1Z63
Whoever that found it, I strongly appeal to your kind, considerate & honest nature to return to this poor soul here :(
It happened last Sat, on my way home after a long day. I was exhausted. I conveniently placed my laptop by the side of the seat (those 2 seat-ers). I woke up at Admiralty station, thinking I've missed my stop when actually my stop is the next - Woodlands. The worst part is I actually alighted in a hurry!?! Gosh! Why did I even do that? And I left my laptop behind!!! When I finally came to my senses that I had alighted 1 stop earlier and realised that something was amiss, it was too late! The train had already departed...so there goes my laptop...it's barely 1 year old =(
I'm having instant noodles now, lamenting on my loss. If it's still not found, I think I can starve myself to death cos I'd to save up so much to purchase a new one AGAIN.
I made a police report, reported to the train station, called APPLE to inform them (but they obviously wouldn't care cos they'd rather I make a new purchase) and left my details with ishop and EpicCentre...my brother posted on some forums -hardwarezone etc.
On the same night I lost my laptop, I found a credit card left at the ATM by the person who was before me in the queue; I ran after him and returned.
Mobile phone, credit card - 2 lost and found. Why is mine? Boohoo.
Friday, July 04, 2008 pre-ADM
Posted by Philothea` @ Friday, July 04, 2008 | Went to the far end of Singapore today ---> the deserted school of NTU for my medical check-up. I'm surprised it took me less than an hour (during the non-peak hours). But still, I do NOT like NTU. Trying to imagine myself in there and trying harder to psycho myself that I'll enjoy my 4 years stay. I demand for advance standing!!! They only allow us to skip some modules which we had covered in poly. *whine* And I don't know what got into me, I actually signed up for the ADM FOC and paid $35 for it! It better be good.

On my way back, I found a slim nokia phone in the ladies. It belongs to this china girl. I had a hard time navigating the phone cos it's in mandarin. Somehow I called her friend (the no. she last dialed) and her very kind friend who stays in a hostel nearer to where I was, rushed down (I was in a hurry to leave the sch) to pick it up. Apparently, the girl who had lost her phone is still oblivious to her loss till her friend called her. I was so tempted to keep it at first and give it to a friend who's in need of a new phone. Hahaha. But of course I know it's not right lar. Hoho.
I just went grocery shopping and bought random stuff - 2 boxes of cereals, chocolate milk and banana milk, grapes, yakult. Had to buy cereals again cos the previous one was attacked by ants! It was a brand new box and I opened it to try, the next moment it's infested with ants. *roars*
Then, I had to buy dinner for my lil brother. My hands were so full and painful to be carrying so much stuff. My total expenditure of the day: exactly $100. I really need to get more freelance jobs this month.
Oh wells, this is a boring entry. I just narrated half my day. The most unusual thing is that I'm actually blogging again. hehe.
Polaroids
Posted by Philothea` @ Friday, July 04, 2008 | Polaroids! (I want a Polaroid camera of my own!)
That was farewell dinner for Matthias last week at Waraku. I'll never dine there again. Such over-rated jap food upsets my stomach and wallet :x
I bet no one knows that he didn't quite enjoy that dinner.
I hope I'll organise all my photos soon. And there's a lot of editing to do for the Japan trip photos cos I forgot to white balance! Aye. I'm so lousy with SLR. I wanna develop them for my aunt and lil cousin. I bought a pink photo album so that I'll be more motivated to get started.
It's freaking friday and my room is still in a shambles! Sigh. Sigh.
Huiying came by my place on monday for some room shopping and returned home with a bagful of 20+ tees and shorts. That was when I realised how much I had splurged on threadless tees! I have a horrible habit of buying unnessary things or just so bcos they look nice. I buy them and don't even wear them. I collect rubbish and clogged up my own breathing place in my less than perfect - walls cracking - paint fading - room. The only thing I'm proud of is my complete abslout vodka collection. I stopped drinking them. I don't find anymore reason to party. I wanna revamp my room but my mum keeps saying we'll be moving to else where soon though I know her 'soon' is never soon enough. I can't wait to get rich and have a house of my own.
It's 3:13am and that's enough rants for now. Rants, I mind you. You can never take what's written here for real, not unless I confess them with a clear mind. And I think it's not so this time.
I wonder, what's my dream of the day? I should start to compile a book of dreams minus the nightmares.

Posted by Philothea` @ Thursday, July 03, 2008 | I've recently developed 2 vexatious inabilities and 1 bothersome ability:
Inability to sleep
insomnia is my new best friend
Inability to keep track of new things I've bought
hmmm, I just bought it yesterday but it disappeared today?
and
Ability to maintain a series of weird dreams every night without fail
most of them are ridiculous and hilarious
tell me why.
Wednesday, July 02, 2008 Boohoo
Posted by Philothea` @ Wednesday, July 02, 2008 | I've this sudden impulsiveness to leave a post here.
I found the best pic to describe my 4th trip to bangkok:
Yes, it's still the cheap thrill of shopping that attracts me. Flying to bangkok has become a yearly affair. Hoho.I've yet to sort out the June Japan trip photos.
And that was taken on the 1st day at Nagasaki:
From day 3 onwards, the rest of the photos captured a horribly sick me - swollen eyes, fever, sore throat, nausea and more. Aye, never had such an unpleasant holiday :(
